Set on the edge of Victoria Park in the East of London, Gatehouse is a non-selective Preparatory School. Our Nursery welcomes children from 3 years old and most of our pupils stay with us at Gatehouse until they move on to a wide range of both leading Independent, Grammar and State schools.
Nursery is our main entry point and demand for places at Gatehouse School are high. Occasional places do also become available in other year groups.

If you would like your child to be considered for a place at Gatehouse School please find below a step-by-step guide to applying for a place at Gatehouse School:
We warmly invite you to visit our School at either one of our Open Mornings or you can arrange a Tour. This will give you the opportunity to view our Nursery, discuss your child’s educational needs in more detail and to experience the atmosphere and to see our school in action.
Following the introductory tour, the next step is to register your child by submitting a Registration Form and Registration Fee of £170. This registration fee is non refundable. At that time we will also need to see your child’s original birth certificate and/or Right to reside in the UK.
For Nursery Admissions commencing in 2025, 2026, 2027 and beyond, places will be allocated from the registration document on a first come, first served basis, to families who pay the full deposit which is currently £1300.00.
We now have Limited available for Nursey 2025. Early viewing of the School is highly recommended.
For September 2025 admissions, we are accepting full deposits now. The deadline to accept a place for 2025 is Friday 26th April 2024, subject to places still being available.
For September 2026 admissions, we are accepting full deposits now. The deadline to accept a place for 2026 is Friday 25th April 2025, subject to places still being available.
For September 2027 admissions, we are accepting full deposits now. The deadline to accept a place for 2027 is Friday 24th April 2026, subject to places still being available.

Other Year Groups
Please call the Admissions Manager, Sue Townsend on 0208 709 5223 for all other Year Group Availability.
A Registration Form should be completed and the registration fee of £170.00 paid. A taster day will then be organised and providing there is a vacancy, a place will be offered. If there are no places available, your child’s name will be placed on a Waiting List and you will be contacted when a place becomes available.
For a place at any other entry point, you will be required to secure the place by paying the deposit of £1300.00.
